Festigol
Festigol is a film and football festival that has been taking place in Santiago de Chile since 2016.
" Festigol wishes to create a space where football can be seen as a creator of more traditional stories, claiming its value as a catalyst for social and cultural phenomena. We see football as a permanent space for building territorial identity, mobilizing emotions, affections and narratives that are part of the collective social memory.
Our desire is about different audiences configuring a meeting place for different cultural expressions linked to football that allow us to develop emerging themes associated with this sport and our society.
During these years, we screened films from Argentina, England, Spain, Brazil and Chile. Being the only space currently that offers a card linked to sport as a social manifestation.
We seek to hold a festival with greater cultural impact, with more diverse content, more extensive journeys, places and networks that strengthen football as a builder of collective identities. Our objective is to consolidate an experience that integrates exhibitions, cultural, social, recreational and conversational activities, bringing together the different groups that conform to the football audience." @festigol
